Swervedriver

From Oxford (UK)

Early on, Swervedriver described themselves as “space travel rock’n’roll”, an apt description of a band whose songs are often about the journey. Formed in the late 1980s in the fertile Oxford, England, music scene, Swervedriver burst onto the worldwide stage in 1990 with their first singles on Creation Records. Over the following decade and across four albums, the band cemented a legacy of propulsive guitar-driven alternative rock that garnered an obsessive cult following and legions of imitators. However, by the end of the 90s, Swervedriver would disband and go on an indefinite hiatus.
